Expanded road and rail screening
By Global Mining Dataset
We've expanded transport screening with rail proximity and more detailed road-access information.
You can now review nearest-rail distance and whether mapped rail lies within 25 km, 50 km or 100 km of an asset. Rail context is also available on asset maps alongside the existing transport and power layers, where the source coverage has been loaded.
For roads, country-specific OpenStreetMap extracts can supplement the global dataset. We've refined nearest-road calculations and access bands to give a more consistent description of nearby, local and more remote mapped-road context.
These additions apply to public and private locations with relevant coverage. They should help teams compare logistics context across an asset list and decide which locations need a closer look. The transportation documentation covers the measurements and sources.
