Aqueduct water screening
By Global Mining Dataset
We've added water screening to Global Mining Dataset, using basin-level indicators from the World Resources Institute's Aqueduct dataset.
You can now review available baseline water-stress information alongside an asset's location and core fields. The map layer also lets you see the pattern of water pressure across an area, so you can look beyond the individual point and understand the surrounding basin.
For a team reviewing projects in several regions, this gives the comparison a common starting point. You can identify assets in basins with elevated water pressure and bring those questions into the review earlier. Available water fields are included in entitled exports, so you can carry the findings into your own asset comparison.
The water documentation explains the source data, field definitions and the additional indicators available in the current platform.
